leaving on a jet plane...

Flying back to the states in the morning! happy and sad at the same time. but anyway, we´re leaving madrid around 1230 so that puts us in philly around 3pm. MOM I WILL BE CALLING! We finally make it to Orlando around 9ish.

bitter sweet

So the worst part about our not so great hostel in madrid is that they let people smoke in the common room. INSIDE! (boys i know you'll probably think that is really cool but me not so much) Had that bit of information been posted any on their hostelworld page we most def. would not have booked this place. That being said, I have been extra stuffy and extra not feeling good.

But besides the stupid people smoking inside, our time in madrid has been pretty darn good. Our first day we went to the riena sofia. Very cool mueseum. Lots of picasso and dali and a good photo exhibit. The flamenco show last night was pretty sweet. Good dancing, the singing not so much, but all in all a good show.

Today we took it easy, went up to the park and lounged around. Pretty neat park.

The trip is coming to an end and its somewhat bitter sweet. I have had a great time and wish that i could continue on traveling but in a way I'm ready to come home and take a break. I guess you can say the going going going has finally caught up with me. So in a way, it will be good to get home.

Packing the backpacks tonight and flying out tomorrow afternoon.

So we had a good day in madrid. Walked around the main drag.. Via grande or something like that. Saw the plaza mayor and a couple other big things. Tried to meet some friends from barcelona for tapas but the place we wanted to go was closed so we ended up going back to the hostel and then finding a place close by(so we're gonna try again tomorrow). Ate lots, then siestad. Jesse met up with us again today. We went to a flamenco show. Super cool. Dragged jesse along.

roller coaster to madrid

So have you ever been on thunder mountian, you know the roller coaster at disney that shakes and wabbles and makes you feel like you´re going to fall out of the car for 11 minutes. Well try that on a 6 hour train ride to Madrid. There were points where I actually thought the train ride was going to give me wiplash and erin was fro sure that she was going to fall out of her seat. The sceneray was really pretty and it would have been enjoyable if we didn´t feel like we were seizing the majority of the time. BUT WE MADE IT. We´re in MADRID.

We´re going exploring now. LOVE!
